I argue that Gluex should adopt the commercial (but free for us) code management product BitKeeper instead of CVS. Many advances in code management software have been made since CVS was designed, especially in the areas of development, workflow and release management. Advances include hierarchical repository structures, changesets, and support for the gatekeeper software development model. Use of these will allow Gluex to save considerable time and manpower in our software development effort.
