Summary | 0000356: Timing histograms in front-end readout lists |
Description | Implement timing histograms in readout lists for monitoring and debugging purposes. This has to be very efficient since it runs in the ROC's as part of the high-speed front-end DAQ software. |
Additional Information | mini-HBook sending histograms via cMsg to a RootSpy GUI is the leading candidate mechanism. The histograms themselves can be sent by the readout list, or the readout list could store them in shared memory and a separate process could ship them out. The latter may be preferable since it minimizes the work done by the high-speed DAQ code. |
