Dear Rolf - Mark, David and I have met several times over the last month to discuss both very positive outcomes of the GlueX/Hall-D run we just completed, and the upcoming software review. During these discussions, we realized that where we managed to get on many aspects of the software aspects of the experiment is farther than we had anticipated. There were many things that we accomplished that we did not expect to achieve until after our April 2015 run. This is not to say that there is still not a lot to do to get to physics, but many of us feel very excited that it is really very reachable at this point. One of the outcomes of these discussions is our feeling that format of the last two reviews may no longer be quite right for the upcoming (third) software review. As we look at what GlueX/Hall-D would like to present at the review, a longer talk to the entire committee seems more appropriate than a short summary and a breakout session. Based on this, our impression is that the entire committee might be interested in hearing about the great progress that has been made across the lab since November 2013. This would suggest a more plenary style of the meeting with no break-out sessions at all. Curtis
