Persons in parentheses are those in charge of the activity.

  1. (David) Modify HDGEANT to record the parameters of the incident particle at the entrance to the calorimeter. Specifically, we need the energy, position and possibly angles at the entrance point to the calorimeter.
  2. (Andrei and everyone) Specify which parameters are needed to index the resolution table. For example, energy, theta, z, r*phi.
  3. (Andrei) Create a procedure to interpolate tables that parameterize shower resolution as a function of the relevant paratemers
  4. (David) Modify either HDGEANT and/or MCSMEAR to input the tables produced by Andrei to parameterize the shower resolution.
  5. (Irina) Create a full (realistic) geometry of the detector for use in cases where accurate simulations are either desired or needed. Define the geometry with the standard XML definitions. [Be aware that GEANT4 does not use 'many' and 'only' volumes].

The reconstruction of photons is waiting on realistic modeling of showers to optimize algorithms. This shower reconstruction is lagging in terms of overall event reconstruction.
