Agenda

  1. FDC Update
  2. CDC Update
  3. Tracking Update

Minutes

  • FDC
    • Beni has been testing the two-plane FDC prototype. He has been having some issues with current draw and has switched the gas system from 40/60 to 60/40 (Ar-CO02).
    • The third plane is still being leak tested.
    • When the third plane is installed, he plans to open the rest of the chamber and carry out visual checks of the current system.
  • CDC
    • The CMU clean room will move into cleaning phase this week. We are close to being ready to move the trash out and seal of the large chamber-removal door.
    • The CDC Contract is with CMU. Curtis will check with Matt Bartman today to see where we stand.
    • Yves will be taking a very interesting job in Australia at the end of summer. We have already hired his replacement, (Naomi Jarvis), who we expect to start in March. Thus, we will have a fairly long overlap with both Yves and Naomi.
  • Tracking
    • Simon is working on updated documentation to the Kalman filter.
    • Dave is going to start a new study to look at the errors coming out of tracking. This is needed to be able to use the chi-square from the track fits and to help with the Kalman filter.
  • AOT
    • We agreed that the meeting will move to Wednesday at 11:00am. The next meeting will be on March 3.
    • Beni asked that we add the gas system to the agenda for the next meeting.
    • Curtis reported that CMU will soon be ready to get the parts for the CDC from Jefferson Lab.
    • Tim reported that the endplates have still not been checked, but hopefull it will occur in the next couple of week.
    • The CDC rods are in at JLab.
