Announcements
- Eugene mentioned a software review planned for June, we can expect questions on tracking software efficiency and speed as well as management issues and computing power.
- From now on we will also discuss tracking software. We will have to decide how to organise it.
FDC Update
- Fifth cell (second package) installed just before the break, conditioned during and then tested successfully after the break. It took 10 days to reach the nominal HV, but now the dark current is very low.
- The last (sixth) cell will be ready for installation in the package on Friday.
- Working on different subsystems in the first package: connections to the main HV connector, grounding, pre-amps and cooling tubes installed on two cells. Expect the rest of the pre-amps for the first package by the beginning of the next week.
- Elton asked, in case a wire is broken is there a way to insulate it from the rest. One has to turn off the HV of at least one HV sector (about 1/4 of the chamber). All other fixes require opening of the chamber.
CDC Update
- 1122 wires remain to be strung... everything is going as scheduled.
- Manufacturing of hookup wires is continuing.
- We need to check with Tim about delivery of parts and the photogrammetrist.
