Report on meeting between Elliott, Eric, Dave Kashy, and Doug Tilles:

- all H-B work is proceeding on schedule.

- we "officially" told H-B that the TPE beamline configuration, with minor modification, is acceptable for the BCAL test (Elliott). This satisfies the H-B request for a beamline specification (Dave). H-B will keep us informed on changes to the TPE configuration. As long as a large enough clear aperture is maintained, and no additional material is added, we will be fine.

- H-B is working on the veto/bpm support (Dave). There should be no interference between it and the BCAL (Eric). Eric also verified there is no interference between the BCAL and the handrails or any other structure in the vicinity.

- H-B proposed a 12 foot by 15 foot steel plate bridging the platform and alcove (Dave). This should work fine given the BCAL/cart footprint (Eric). The plate is made up of smaller plates welded together with small raised welding seams. This is acceptable (Eric).

- Doug suggested we buy a laser level and mount it to the wall at beam height. Everyone agreed this is a great idea. Eric will buy one. It will have to be mounted in late Aug when Eric arrives.

- hope is to piggy-back onto TPE safety documentation, COO, etc. Elliott will pursue this. New concerns for the BCAL are stability of BCAL/cart (5000+ pounds) and remote-controlled motion. Eric will supply crash-buttons that disable all motion at each of the two entrances to the platform/cart area. This should satisfy safety concerns for cart motion. Not sure what will need to be documented/tested concerning stability (Elliott).

- lifting of cart and BCAL/carriage will be done via slings, not eyes (Eric).

- hold-down tabs will be needed on plate to anchor BCAL/cart. Eric will specify. These may be welded onto or drilled into the very hard plate steel. This requires spot preheating to red-hot before welding or drilling is possible. Drilling may be preferable for a number of reasons.

- H-B still wants official installation plan (Eric).

- He bags will be installed "everywhere we can" (Dave).

- what happens after the run? Do we ship the BCAL/cart off-site, or store them here, or...? Zisis...please advise.
