Goals for Calorimetry Group

1. Determine preliminary photon reconstruction efficiencies as a function of E, phi and theta in data and simulation with a point-to-point precision of at least 5%.
2. Measure systematics of pi0/eta mass calibration as a function of detector position to a precision of at least 5 MeV.
3. Demonstrate agreement of photon resolution between data and simulation as a function of E, phi and theta to within 5%.
4. Demonstrate agreement of photon reconstruction efficiency between data and simulation as a function of E, phi and theta to within 5%.

Minutes

Attendees: Igal, Mark, Eugene, Simon, Zisis

1. Announcements: Zisis mentioned that the UofR President and VPR might be coming to JLab for a visit in January. Once more information is known, Zisis will pass it along.
2. Past Meeting Minutes: these had two short reports from Simon (FCAL translation table) and Zisis (FCAL2 installation summary).
3. Review Action Items: these were pruned in the summer and are ok for now.
4. Detectors
   1. FCAL/ECAL: Zisis went over this morning's FCAL2 minutes. Eugene commented that the DAQ is not fully operational, and Mark added that running will take place in an alternate DAQ mode.
   2. BCAL: no report.
5. Calibration: no report.
6. Monitoring: no report.
7. Reconstruction: no report.
8. Simulations: no report.
9. Any other business: the CALWG meetings will likely be short in November until the BCAL starts coming on line. The FCAL2 discussions are handled in the Wednesday weekly 10am FCAL2 Meetings until beam arrives.
