We simulated batches of 500M events each with bggen to study backgrounds for physics analyses.
Settings

Files
The simulated data can be found at JLab in
/lustre19/expphy/cache/halld/gluex_simulations/REQUESTED_MC/2017_bggen_batch01_ver03_28_20210616121407pm/
You may find the following subdirectories:
- hddm - REST files
- root/thrown - mcthrown_tree files
- root/monitoring_hists - data quality monitoring histogram files
Files on cache might be deleted after 2 weeks. All files will be permanently stored on tape in
/mss/halld/gluex_simulations/REQUESTED_MC/2017_bggen_batch01_ver03_28_20210616121407pm/
How to analyze
- To run your own analysis launch over the REST files, use the script
launch_mc.py.
