- FADC125 status
- Cody has the new timing algorithm working in simulation, now needs to merge this with the current version of fa250-like firmware.
- There have been a few issues in getting used to the fa250 firmware modes and understanding its error conditions. Mode 7 (readout of pedestal, integral & time; no raw samples) is not available at present, it might be enabled in the firmware but not accessible through the present software version. Also Beni has encountered some problems with readout where some modules do not have the data ready at the block ready check, but output it with the data for the next event instead.
- For the upcoming run in October we would like:
- readout mode 7 enabled
- the pedestal region to be increased from 4 to 16 samples
- the peak searching to start with the sample following the pedestal region
- Cody will work on implementing these (in that order) and decide, based on progress by Monday afternoon, which of these modifications will be in the firmware used for the run.
- Readout of integration period, fa125 firmware
- We need to subtract the pedestal from the integration offline (not on the flash) to prevent the occurrence of a smallish signal on top of a falling pedestal causing too large a pedestal to be subtracted and the result being <0 and being interpreted as a large +ve number instead of as a small -ve number.
