- In my test area I have expanded the material properties table in calib/Materials to include the average atomic number, atomic weight and density based on the Monte Carlo, throwing pions from various places within the bore of the magnet.
- The density, A and Z values are used to compute the average energy loss for each step in the trajectory using the Bethe-Bloch formula.
- I generated 1.5 GeV/c pions in the z-range (50-80) cm from the x-y center of the target with theta=0-20 degrees.
