At 1950V, 50/50 gas:
Tracked cosmics - amplitude spectra for channel 7. In software, threshold = pedestal-mean + n * pedestal-width. n=10. Chamber is horizontal (left) and then tilted at 45 degrees (right).
Old preamp, n=10
New preamp, n=10, ADC range halved (scale doubled)
Zoom in on first pic (old preamp, n=10)
Repeat with n=8
Old preamp, n=8
New preamp, n=8, ADC range halved (scale doubled)
Repeat with n=6
Old preamp, n=6
New preamp, n=6, ADC range halved (scale doubled)
Conclude that n=8 works best for the old preamp (tilted)
Energy spectra for n=8
Old preamp
New preamp, ADC range halved
