Announcements
Elliott issued a head-up for the need for creating digitized data for online testing from Monte Carlo events. He will write-up requirements for this.
Review of minutes from the last meeting
We skimmed the minutes from the August ??? meeting.
Mark reminded us that we still need a solution for putting large magnetic field maps into the CCDB.
Compressed Data Format Update
Igor reported that Richard is working on the code based on feedback received at the last meeting.
Reconstruction chi-squared/uncertainty update
Paul presented a ??? wiki page summarizing work to study reported errors from the FCAL, BCAL, and TOF.
See his page for details.
Also, Curtis posted a [??? document on the DocDB ]from PANDA, describing the scheme for their central tracking.
their thier
simon: chisq problems, track finding stage, could be improved
forward direction number of candidates with wrong charge hypothesis, chisq of fit is bad
mark: may be a marker, not a cause
Will, BCAL, doing ok for single photon events, moving toward 1234 segmentation, work in progress
1234 can be changed easily, matt, calibration may not be correct, geometry file to change segmentation
Paul, item 5, wiki page • uncertainties on bcal fcal tof • single photon, pion events • compare reconstructed vs generated
need convention for time reported for all detectors, inner radious, front face
tracking simon pid paul photon matt
brainstorm
many more reconstructed
0 - 10.5 degrees
big overshoot at downstream end of bcal Beni's b1pi wiki page
number of protons, reconstruction efficiency seems very low compared to pi + at angle of 30 see same amount of protons and pions
will thinks taht the problem was not as bad a few months ago
new segmentation for the bcal
overall reconstruction in b1pi
cause of complete failure of track fitting and finding
particle id timing shift in time of flight timing shift in fcal
paul will present a design for how tof beni present hermes scheme
mark will add items to list conveners will organize the list
New Action Items
- Write requirements for digitizing Monte Carlo data for online testine. -> Elliott
