Installation Update
Two more mods were made to the install configuration.
- Holes in the clamping channels were made larger to accommodate slight repositioning of the connecting studs.
- We have reduced the number of studs used in the clamping; some of the outer studs will not be installed.
Chuck reported that as of last Friday the second layer of counters were laid out on the saw horses. Work on the support rails (attached to the forward support structure) is largely done; the rails are in place. There was a slight adjustment to the bearing attachment to the rails; a hole was slotted to accommodate the slightly wider TOF frame.
The next thing to do is to install the steel phototube shields on the frame.
Tim Whitlatch thinks that installation should be done by the end of the month.
Construction Documentation
Now that we are approaching the end of construction and installation, we need to think about having the Lab capture construction procedures and assembly databases as the final step of the contract. Chuck has all the procedures; he will check with Paul Eugenio that what he has is indeed complete and up-to-date. Sasha will send the SQLite database to Mark with the software to read it.
Software Geometry
Beni Zihlmann checked in changes to the HDDS specification and reconstruction code to account for the half-width counters. Simon Taylor helped also; he fixed a bug that was discovered with the half-length counters.
