Agenda
- SICCAS crystals
- Preparation for module fabrication
- COMCAL tests, TAC running, etc.
- Preparations for PAC meeting (jeopardy)
- Simulations
Minutes
Attendees: Liping,Igal,Phil,Zisis,Tim B.,Sasha,Jared,Jane,Susan,Arshak,Josh,S.T.
- Phil's NSF grant was approved (congratulations!)
- In discussions to join JEF
- Has a student (Jared) interested in coming to JLab to participate for 10 weeks in the fall
- No news on crystal production
- New light guide samples have cloudy surfaces; sent back for vapor polishing.
- Found another vendor
- Samples of mu-metal cylinders have joint problems, need to be fixed.
- PMT active base design: Sasha working with Fernando and Vlad P.
- Fernando will purchase needed HV -- chosen version has caveat: limited to 1 mA/channel
- Would need to modify current base design to <800 micro-Amp, which could affect linearity
- Asked to produce dividers for use in COMCAL
- COMCAL HV limit is 3 mA/ channel (30% more expensive than 1 mA version)
- Fernando will purchase needed HV -- chosen version has caveat: limited to 1 mA/channel
- Josh coordinating between Tim B. and Fernando to send gaussian pulser to UNCW for PMT/base tests
- JEF will make a ~2 page contribution to Snowmass in July
- Simulation: there was some discussion regarding who will look at what channel
- Susan is interested in η→π0γγ (already starting to look at GlueX data) and transition form factors
- Jon Z. is looking at η→3π0 (background to π0γγ channel)
- Beyond standard model studies -- Igal
- We decided to make these kind of studies a more regular feature of the JEF meetings
- Igal will submit an abstract for the fall DNP meeting.
