Gas Threshold (Original Design)
- From ~1 or ~0 to 10 degrees
- No K/proton separation
- Separation between Pions & Kaons as a function of momentum.
- Theta dependence is present but not shown (not super large).
RICH (Yi)
- From ~1 or ~0 to 20 degrees
- K/proton separation not shown but is included in the study.
- Separation between Pions & Kaons as a function of momentum.
- Theta dependence is present but not shown (not super large).
LHCb RICH
- BIG IMPORTANT NOTE: These studies were performed with the parameters of the LHCb RICH AS IS (at a ~$4 million cost)
- From 0 to 20 degrees
- 99.3% K/Pi separation from 0.6 to 2.6 GeV/c
- Perfect K/Pi separation above 2.6 GeV/c
- 99.3% K/proton separation from 2.0 to 10.0 GeV/c
- Perfect K/proton separation above 10.0 GeV/c
