Tuesday, April 5
- Accelerator Status
- No beam since 9am Monday due to re-tune
- Hot spot found in accelerator downstream of 5th pass separator (25R on contact, largest ever at CEBAF)
- Physics quality beam unlikely before Friday
- All shifts cancelled for today. Tomorrow (Wed.) on standby starting 8am
- Persons with shifts this week should send phone number to RC since more shifts will likely be moved to standby
- Hall-A will go to 2-pass beam then 4-pass beam (Hall-D is only capable of taking 5-pass beam)
- Hall-D/GlueX items
- Short access yesterday for walktrhough and FCAL maintainence
- Target warmed to >80K for at least 90 minutes to melt any potential Nitrogen ice. (It was emptied this morning due to cancelled shifts)
- Beam intensity fluctuations ...
- Integrated luminosity -> thresholds for publishable results??
- other systems?
- Run Plan
- Re-establish good photon beam
- FCAL test with 5mm collimator ~1hr (Adesh)
- PS magnet current studies ~2hr (Alex S.)
- TRD run ~1hr (Lubomir, Sergey)
- DAQ Studies ~1hr (Sergey, David)
- Microscope alignment ~1hr (Alex B.)
- Trigger Studies ~4hr (Alex S.)

Monday, April 4
- Accelerator Status
- No beam or poorly positioned beam until ~3:30am Sunday April 3
- Bleedthrough from Hall-A
- Accelerator experts convening this morning to form plan for fixing issues with beam. May be disruptive today or tomorrow morning as they implement plan
- Hall A gets priority Today
- Hall-D/GlueX items
- Completed empty target run with amorphous radiator
- Difficulty getting consistent PARA and PERP at same location on JD70-118. Switch to JD70-119.
- CDC HV trips frequently. Current trip levels had inadvertently been reduced to 2uA (fixed)
- beam intensity fluctuations
- Hovanes suggests regular harp scans, including two ACC harps in D beamline, MCC must do those
- Request accelerator formalize scan procedure for 5C11 and 5C11B. Todd will write something up
- other systems?
- Run Plan
-
empty target run -
Satellite peak study (move beam) - PS magnet current studies
- TRD run
- DAQ Studies
- Microscope alignment (Alex B.)
- Production running
-
- Offline analysis?
- AOB?
Sunday, April 3
- Accelerator Status
- Beam was gone until ~2am Saturday April 2
- Frequent RF trips, poor profile scans, poor enhancement
- Spotty or unacceptably poor beam from 13:00 Saturday to 3:30 Sunday (Issues with bleedthrough from other halls (?))
- Improved beam profile
- Hall A gets priority Monday
- Hall-D/GlueX items
- Completed empty target run with both PARA and PERP orientations
- Difficulty getting consistent PARA and PERP at same location on JD70-118. Switch to JD70-119.
- CDC HV trips frequently
- beam intensity fluctuations
- tagger harp scan shows sigma_x = 0.9 mm, sigma_y = 1.1 mm, possibly better focusing on collimator
- Hovanes suggests regular harp scans, including two ACC harps in D beamline, MCC must do those
- Shift-takers run comments: Discussion deferred
