Minutes
Present: Elliott W, Dave L, Mark I, Bryan M, Carl T, Simon T, Hovanes E, Beni Z.
(Caveat: I am writing these minutes way after the fact. Despite having notes I likely will forget something...Elliott)
Infiniband Testing
See link above for full information, including some odd scaling behaviour. This work is ongoing.
Farm and Farm Manager
- Will mc2coda conventions be implemented in the DAQ board FPGA's?
- Need to tune TCP over IB, currently optimized for TCP over IP.
- Need to speed up EVIO buffer I/O, implement stream functions in Java and C++.
- Still plan that farm manager is a CODA component, farm processes NOT.
- Current plan is to develop farm process using CodaObject framework.
Counting House
- Have proposals for console and meeting room designs from Facilities Mgmt.
- They will develop initial design and furniture specification.
EPICS
- Hovanes is working on FADC and other scalers.
- No showstoppers connecting PXI to EPICS.
- Beni is struggling with CSS for FDC HV control, goal is to allow for dynamic GUI configuration.
JInventory
- Hall A and other groups are interested.
- May coordinate through Graham H.
DAQ
- First order of ROCs should arrive early Jan, ~6 for us, larger number in May.
- Full crate FADC250 acceptance tests in progress (Fernando).
- FADC250 board tests ongoing in UMass.
