Fall 2019 TRD/GEM Commissioning

Straight-track data

• For alignment of the GEM/TRD we need to acquire production samples with the magnetic field off
• Straight-track sample at each of the 3 TRD positions with the full GEM readout for tracking and alignment studies
  • Beam LEFT: Runs 70703-70721 taken with FCAL_TRACK_LEFT configuration
  • Beam RIGHT: Runs 70728-70751 taken with FCAL_TRACK_RIGHT configuration
    • Logbook entries: [1]
  • Beam CENTER: Runs 70757-70786 taken with FCAL_TRACK_CENT configuration

Full GEM readout: tracking mode

• The electronics for three of the GEM packages are readout limited to ~3kHz
• At least one large dataset at each of the 3 TRD positions will be required with the full readout for tracking and alignment studies with the full solenoid field
  • Beam CENTER: Runs 70951-70992 taken with FCAL_TRACK_CENTER configuration
    • Logbook entries: Good runs [2] [3], and lost data [4]
  • Beam LEFT: Runs 71013-????? taken with FCAL_TRACK_LEFT configuration
    • Logbook entries: Argon gas [5] and TRD runs with Xenon gas ?????

Note: Data from Runs 70850-70895 were lost due to data transfer mistake. So although they may have events listed in RCDB, the data are not available.
