- Wrap Up (Elton)
- Primakoff-eta and NC-eta files were generated. The normalization was obtained using the scaling rules developed by Rory.
- The estimate is that broken etas represent 37% of the Primakoff-pi0pi0 signal.
- The Overleaf document has been updated with the new distributions. The overall conclusion does not change, but the study is more complete.
- The table of uncertainties (Table 3) has been modified based on our discussion a couple of weeks ago and the flux uncertainty has been removed.
- A new estimate of the systematic uncertainty in signal extraction was made, but leaves the 3% in the table unchanged.
- Backgrounds
- BGGEN (PYTHIA)
- Mark: Has been able to generate bggen events interactively. In a session with Thomas this morning he has charted a course to generate many more events on the farm. He hopes to have some distributions to show by mid week
- We may not have time to digest the information from this study before the proposal is submitted. It will be useful to see if there is any peaking structures in this background. It remains a useful study for backup at the PAC presentation.
- BGGEN (PYTHIA)
- Experiment optimization
- Significance of experiment
- Analysis of PRIMEX data
- Wrap Up (Elton)
- Other business
- Elton will update the Overleaf document and make available by the end of the day.
- Mark promised to read the whole document and give feedback.
- Next meeting
- Possibly next Friday if we need to finalize any details before final submission of the proposal.
