Short summary: there was no beam into Hall D for this first week (03/26-04/02 2025). The text below details the reason that prevented the beam to be delivered.

The week started (Wed. 03/26/2025) with beam restoration in CEBAF going slower than expected. The delays were mainly due to RF work and a vacuum issue, with the expectation that there will be no beam for Hall D until at least Friday (03/28). By Friday, the vacuum issue in the accelerator had been addressed but work on the RF was still ongoing, with an estimate that it will take at least the weekend to tune the beam. Furthermore, there was an unexpected administrative issue peculiar to Hall D that precluded authorizing beam delivery to Hall D until Monday (03/31). The issue was that the compliance of the status of the Hall D building with some requirements from the Accelerator Safety Envelope (ASE) document was questioned. This was resolved and the ASE document updated and approved by Monday (the requirements in question, which regarded the earth mount on top of the JLab experimental halls, did not apply to Hall D since as a photon-ony hall, does not have a earth mount). On Friday afternoon, the Hall went to Controlled Access and the solenoid was ramped-up in preparation for the expected beam on Monday. During the week-end, it was realized that 4 CEBAF magnets had wrong control addresses and this was the reason the beam tuning had been so difficult. The problem was corrected on Monday and all other magnet addresses were checked. This required the accelerator to be down for most of Monday. Beam tuning then resumed and proceeded nicely, with Hall D beam expected by Wednesday (04/02) early morning. However, an issue with RF zone IL09 prevented this and by the end of my RC week (04/02/2025), there was still no beam in Hall D.
