Run Coordinator report:2025run w4
Week 4 focused on continued commissioning and calibration across several detector subsystems, with particular attention to trigger configuration, timing alignment, and high-voltage settings.
Trigger studies advanced with testing of new configurations targeting both Compton and pi0 event selection. Adjustments to beam current were coordinated to match trigger goals, helping to optimize data collection for the ECAL and FCAL. The tradeoff between Compton-rich triggers and pi0 statistics remained an ongoing area of consideration.
Calibration efforts included further gain balancing for the calorimeters and updates to discriminator thresholds in forward detectors. High-voltage scans and bias voltage tuning were conducted to improve detector response and signal quality.
Timing alignment activities continued across multiple subsystems, including the calorimeters and tagger detectors, contributing to improved reconstruction consistency.
Beam delivery was mostly stable during the week, with some attention given to beam lock behavior and recovery following trips. Work on diamond alignment also proceeded, though details were limited in the summary.
Overall, steady progress was made in preparing the detector systems for reliable data collection, building on the foundation established in previous weeks.
