Agenda

  1. Previous meeting: Oct 26, 2016
  2. Announcements
  3. Notes from meeting with Bryce and Tim
    1. Assumptions for design
      • See Studies by Bobby
      • Assume 8 MWPC detectors (4-X and 4-Y)
      • Use 20 cm thick iron plates between each plane, for a total of 140 cm (seven plates)
      • Use 3" space between iron plates to accommodate the MWPCs (one 1" for the chamber and 1" space on either side)
      • Plan for 2 crates of electronics
    2. Additional design questions
      • Need attachment points for the MWPCs both for hanging and also for handling. Hooks on each of the four corners?
      • Installation sequence: We assume that the iron will be installed first. The MWPCs will be inserted after the iron is in place
      • Attachment of MPWCs needs to be adjustable but not precise
      • Position of the detectors will be determined after installation by survey. Need external fiducials on MWPCs, which can be surveyed and related to actual wire positions.
