    1. Contract completion
      • All purchases for contract completed
      • Remaining materials prepared at IU for dark box have been shipped and probably received at JLab last week
      • Finishing construction of the labyrinth
      • Closeout of contract expected for the end of August. Elton will contact Matt when August bill is submitted to verify contract completion.
      • Interlock system completed, but programing awaiting interfacing with David Butler.
    2. Next project
      • Local setup of beam test prototype at IU with functional DAQ and Flash-250 readout
      • Study energy deposition from cosmics. Interest for triggering and pion polarizability experiment
    3. HDList tasks list for Fcal (Elton)
      • We will be required to start task lists using HDList for the Fcal (and all other collaboration installed detectors).
  5. BCAL
    • Installation. See Photos in GlueX Photo Archive
    • Assembly of Bcal modules into a barrel has proceeded extremely well. Without shimming top modules, the cylinder is 1-2 mm out of round.
    • An electrical break in the barrel is required to eliminate Eddy currents. Assembly will be loosened, electrical breaks will be inserted and the barrel will be reassembled, then surveyed
    • Fixtures to pull the barrel into the solenoid should arrive at the end of this week and we should be able to move the barrel into the solenoid next week.
  6. USM
    • Orlando Soto will be defending his thesis on Monday.
    • Elton and Hovanes have found project activities that can be used to support Orlando if he comes to JLab.
    • Discussions with Orlando will confirm earlier plans for his visit and proposed timetable. Nerses and Vanik will be here till Nov or Dec and it will be good to have an overlap with them before they leave.
