Minutes

Attendees: Christina, George (Athens), Will, Curtis (CMU), Noemi, Tegan, Ahmed, Zisis, Andrei (Regina), Elton, Mark (JLab) "

  1. Announcements: magnet is being cooled, 10 K by next week.
  2. Action Items:
    1. Run preparations: BCAL is down to 5 C, SiPM at 7 C. Some outliers in terms of temp: 4D, 19D (at 9 C). Possible poor connection. Beni is taking cosmics and LED data mixed in. Ahmed will work on identifying LED triggers and Andrei will look at the cosmics.
    2. BCAL NIM work: Elton is has gathered a summary of JLab and USM work (the latter has two publications). Regina work should be included as well. Curtis suggested we evaluate Share-LaTex product for the BCAL NIM, set up by Mike Staib for the CDC.
  3. Calibration/Commissioning
    1. Cosmics analysis (Andrei, Irina): in progress.
    2. Time-walk corrections (Noemi): Report on DocDB (GlueX-doc-2898) using TDC minus ADC timing. Improvements on the range are included in the report. Noemi will now move to TDC_BCAL minus TDC-START timing.
    3. Layer efficiencies (Ahmed): Draft report ready. Zisis will look at it over the weekend and then it will be posted to DocDB. He will also look at the new LED data that will be taken in a few days.
    4. Effective speed (George): nothing new. Will run his code after new data arrives, including cosmics.
    5. Muon decays (Will): Will work on Andrei's stuff soon. Working on plugin for SiPMs to be ready before spring run.
    6. Pi0 events: Will produced an offline data monitoring plot browser plugin: pi0 peak fir for 1g-BCAL, 1g-FCAL and 2g-BCAL. It is checked into GIT so it was included in the last run of offline.
    7. Calibration (CCDB): nothing to report.
  4. Reconstruction: Tegan will present his work on the eta-prime at the Monday Physics meeting and possibly at the Physics session of the Collaboration meeting in February.
  5. Any other business: none.
    1. Preparations for Spring Run
