TEST of BCAL reconstruction using pi0

  1. 1 GeV Pi0s are generated emanating at 50 degree from the target all around 360 degree in azimuth.
  2. Three different reconstruction codes are used:
    1. _KLOE_ currently default algorithm
    2. _MATT_ algorithm developed by Matt Shehperd
    3. _JLAB_ algorithm developed by Beni Zihlamnn
  3. The following plots show that the _MATT_ and _JLAB_ algorithm give very similar results with the _MATT_ algorithm performing slightly better. There seems to be something inherently going wrong with the _KLOE_ algorithm.
    1. File:GeneratedPhotons.pdf Generated Photons from pi0 decay.
    2. File:ReconstructedShowerMultiplicity.pdf Reconstructed neutral particle multiplicity for all three algorithms.
    3. File:AllReconstructedPhotons.pdf All reconstructed photons from all three algorithms.
    4. File:HighEnergyReconstructedPhotons.pdf The higher energy photon (of the two) reconstructed from all three algorithms.
    5. File:LowEnergyReconstructedPhotons.pdf The lower energy photon (of the two) reconstructed from all three algorithms.
    6. File:HighEnergyPhotonsPull.pdf (E_gen-E_rec)/E_rec of the higher energy photon for all three algorithms.
    7. File:LowEnergyPhotonsPull.pdf (E_gen-E_rec)/E_rec of the lower energy photon for all three algorithms.
