  • Present: Richard J., Dan S., Elton S., Ken L., Michael D, Justin S., Eugene C., Sasha S., Alexandre D.

Agenda

  1. Announcements
  2. TAGM fiber upgrade underway in Tagger Hall - Richard J.
  3. Beam monitoring issues
    • Update on TPOL polarization results from 2016-2017 - Michael D.
    • Verifying systematics for energy deposition cuts in TPOL simulation - pending further work
    • Systematics studies with 750um converter data, 2018 data
    • Update on hadronic asymmetries - Justin, Alexander
    • TPOL readout at high rate - Sasha
  4. Beamline geometry changes in hdds - Richard J
    • small geometry overlaps found in TPOL (support rails, target holders, not critical)
    • larger overlaps found in PS vacuum chamber, beam pipe (not critical)
    • overlap between target assembly and beam pipe (upstream of target, not critical)
    • potentially more serious overlaps between BCAL and FDC (not relevant for this meeting)
    • corrections to simulation geometry now pending on github
  5. Priority issues for next 3 months
    1. evaluation of beam flux systematic error (spectrum, normalization) - Justin, Sasha
    2. evaluation of polarization systematics (relative, absolute scale) - Michael Richard
    3. finishing the first round CBSA simulations (requested 9 months ago!) - Richard
  6. Upcoming activities
    • removal/remounting of 5 virgin 50um diamonds
    • CLS measurements (next run starting in January, experimental schedule pending)
    • reconfiguration of the tagger for CPP - Richard
  7. Any other business
