We simulated batches of 500M events each with bggen to study backgrounds for physics analyses.

Files

The simulated data can be found at JLab in 

/lustre19/expphy/cache/halld/gluex_simulations/REQUESTED_MC/S2018_ver02_20_bggen_20210809112122am/

You may find the following subdirectories:

  • hddm - REST files
  • root/thrown - mcthrown_tree files
  • root/monitoring_hists - data quality monitoring histogram files

Files on cache might be deleted after 2 weeks. All files will be permanently stored on tape in 

/mss/halld/gluex_simulations/REQUESTED_MC/S2018_ver02_20_bggen_20210809112122am/

How to analyze

  • To run your own analysis launch over the RESt files, use the script launch_mc.py.
