Overview

  1. Load up at CMU - looking at Oct 28-30 or Nov 4-6
  2. Ideally, store truck indoors overnight
  3. Drive to JLab
    1. Arrival before ?pm - go to EEL to unload
    2. Arrival after ? pm - go to Hall D, drive in, CDC in truck overnight, drive to EEL the next day and unload


Preparations:

  1. Add reinforcements to CDC cart for forklift
    1. Order materials for reinforcements
    2. Calculate position of CDC's CM
  2. Order swivel wheels
  3. Swap straight wheels for swivel wheels
  4. Wrap CDC in bubblewrap
  5. Rent a truck
    1. Need to measure temp near CDC - buy long thermocouple?
  6. Find somewhere to keep truck indoors overnight at CMU
  7. Negotiate loading bay access
  8. Update packing list - extra things to bring (HVBs etc) installation doc with packing list
  9. Book accommodation at resfac


At JLab

  1. CDC is to be stored in EEL 126? until FDC installation is complete
  2. HV blocks need to be added
  3. CDC mini-readout in EEL can be set up once FDC has moved into Hall D
  4. Expect CDC installation to be in Jan 2014 (engineering) or Dec 2013 (electronics) schedules are linked to installation meeting Sept 27


Equipment for readout

  1. 4 long scint paddles are to travel down from CMU
  2. Do we need to bring any NIM modules?

  1. Unistrut & fittings to modify cart
  2. Swivel wheels
  3. Bubble wrap
  4. Truck
  5. Thermocouple?
