We quickly went over the status reports to give Dan lots of time. See Dan's slides for more info. Some highlights from status reports:

  • Elliott needs to get back to the JInventory system, main thing needed is agreement on usage conventions.
  • Solenoid review early Nov, main thing needed is pressure safety doc, otherwise in good shape.
  • Josh said PLC programming ready, could begin cooldown tomorrow!
  • Danfysik board waiting for repair.
  • Elliott heard back from Danfysik concerning resistor choice strategy for cable disconnect circuit, needs to determine resistance value. QD mods won't take much time.
  • Fibers are installed in the CH, Rack Room switch will be installed soon, waiting for Liebert to turn UPS on.

Some highlights from Dan's talk:

  • Takes about 300 ms to get all params on one bus, all buses can run in parallel.
  • CAN connections are 4-wire, 50 kbits/s.
  • Should take about 5 mins to set params in all bases.
  • They are still working on requirements for interlocks, sensors, etc. for dark room.
  • Strategy and system choice depend on requirements, but system won't be installed for another year or so.
