Items for followup from previous meeting(s)

  1. Produce plots of SiPM parameters, such as the ones already shown, for Vover=1.0, 1.1 V (Orlando)
  2. After summary of SiPM parameters, provide data to Hamamatsu for comments (USM)
  3. For the suspect SiPMs, calculate the integrated dark rate for the array to compare them (Orlando) Discussed at Bcal Readout meeting.

Tentative Agenda

  1. Announcements
  2. Review of Action Items
  3. FCAL
  4. BCAL
  5. USM
  6. Simulations
  7. TDR update
  8. Calibration of Calorimeters
  9. Any other business

Minutes

Attendees: Elton, David, John, Yi, Beni (JLab); Hayk, Will, Alam, Orlando (USM); Shawn, Zisis, Andrei (UofR); Matt, Kei, Dan (IU); Christina, George, Pavlos (Athens)

  1. Announcements
  2. Review of Action Items
  3. Monitoring
    1. Bcal boards are proceeding as scheduled. Controller boards are being stuffed.
    2. Fcal measurements with first-article has raised two issues
      • Light uniformity on edges of plexiglass is improved by polishing edges.
      • The 2 red LEDs seem to output sufficient light, but the 2 green LEDs do not produce sufficient light under nominal configuration.
      • Amount of light collected from green LEDs with plexiglass is 1/2-1/3 of that with plexiglass
      • Sanding the top and bottom increases collection of light by a factor of about 6. Still, Christina does not think this is sufficient.
      • Elton: IU should propose the dynamic range of signals required for the LED monitoring system
      • Christina: One may also try to find alternative LEDs that better match the dynamic range necessary
  4. FCAL
  5. BCAL
  6. USM
    • Some discussion regarding consistent summary of data for all parameters at Vover =1.0, 1.1 V (to supplement data on 1.2V)
    • Shipment of 360 sensors is still in Customs in Santiago, waiting for final disposition.
  7. Simulations
  8. TDR update
  9. Calibration of Calorimeters
  10. Any other business
