FA125 chip occupancy

The FA125 signal processing (hit search & analysis) is handled on the 12 front end FPGA chips, 6 channels each, 72 channels per module.


The plots below show the occupancy for the chip, module and roc with highest occupancy (or most consistently high occupancy) for the CDC and FDC in the high luminosity test runs. The beam current is the average from the epics events in the evio file, which is close to mystats, eg run 11361 mean from epics is 313nA, mean from mystats is 304nA, run 11362 mean from epics is 359nA, mean from mystats is 354nA.

In some of the runs (more so for the FDC than the CDC) there were a few chips with occupancy a few % higher than the rest, but it did not increase with beam current so presumably the high stats were due to connector or noise issues. The chip population order is listed below the tables. *** shows the chip chosen as most consistently high

Plotted number of hits in each of the chips per event, channels 0-5 are on one chip, 6-11 are on the next, etc, eg event 21 has only 1 hit on roc25 slot3, and that is for the 2nd chip, so the entry in the histogram for roc25slot3chip2 is 1 and the entries for the other chips on roc25slot3 are 0.
