During the summer shutdown we will be performing tests of the small-scale prototype in a magnetic field using the old pair spectrometer magnet in the Hall-B downstream alcove. The status is as follows:

  1. Electronic racks have been installed in Hall-B downstream alcove
  2. Safety documentation under preparation, first draft to Bert Manzlak
  3. Daniel arranged to borrow 8 small wire chambers from IU, expect them soon (later this week?)
  4. Gas bottles have been ordered
  5. Test lab setup has been dismantled, ready to recable in Hall-B later this week/early next week
  6. I have obtained another F1 TDC from Fernando
  7. May need to design supports for scintillators, external drift chambers. Plan will come into focus after making some measurements in the alcove.
  8. Initial replumbing/magnet checkout will take place early August
