Special Events

  • Monday - Wednesday around/after lunch: discussion sessions for graduate students and postdocs to ask questions about presentations at the recent review of the GlueX exotic meson search.

  • Afternoon
    • No sessions: for Friday afternoon, we recommend that groups organize small gatherings that are compliant with with local guidelines in order to allow GlueX collaborators to interact with each other in person.
    • For those near Newport News: We've reserved one of the Newport News park at Shelter #8 near the Range Station. The plan to meet there at 2 pm and will have access to the grill at the shelter and will provide charcoal, utensils, hot dogs and some condiments. You’re welcome to bring your own food to grill (or not) and/or other drinks and snacks for a late lunch. Family and friends are welcome to join us as well.
    • Zoom Gathering: We'll join together on Zoom at 2:30, for those who either aren't able to join a local gathering or would prefer to meet online.
