Construction

Five counters have been bent and Eljen and shipped to McNeal where they have been received. McNeal is waiting for a PO before starting machining the counters. Eric is monitoring the situation.

The test stand has undergone a substantial redesign after Eric discussed the design with Carlos Ortega of the FIU Physics machine shop. Final drawings will be done today. Hopefully machining can start next week.

FIU has received their new CAEN HV cards. They have not been tested yet.

Chuck checked with Jim Fochtman about the mechanical interface between the target and the start counter. Nothing has changed on that front.

Some time ago Chuck and Eric discussed the idea of matching the inner radius of the support ring and the inner support foam. This would simplify mounting the counter on the construction frame. They will discuss this further offline.

Contract

Mark has reviewed the technical proposal and it appears acceptable. Bruce Lenzer did have some QA issues with it, but it was thought that these could be addressed at the time of the readiness review. The terms and conditions for the proposal from FIU will be sent tomorrow.

Schedule

Mark showed the latest schedule from the recent rebaselining effort. It shows final drawings done by June 14, not so far away!
