• ian sent chuck 3d of split light guides • statement of work, mark will take a hack at it • doe annual report preparation at fsu • three more ligght guides made from uvt material • can be compared to non-uvt • machine shop playing with procedure • getting good finishes with the new bit • one light guide, machined, sent to polymer plastcis, was due this week, vapor polishing • talked to eljen to see what they do for polishing ∘ vapor polishing good, not better than hand polishing ∘ got some polishing compounds ∘ new buffing station for light guides • no testing with the new light guides yet • dimentions of steel tube, cut to length
