Lubomir showed a [????? plot] demonstrating that there is not a lot of dependence on threshold in the shape of the hit efficiency as a function of DOCA. The overall level of efficiency does vary, but it may be adequate to use a representative shape for the efficiency and scale it based on comparison with data for use in simulation.

Review of minutes from the last meeting

We went over the minutes from the meeting on May 4th without much comment.

FCAL Calibration

Igal reports that the PrimEx working group is going to develop a scheme to calibrate Monte Carlo in the same way as data is calibrated, using π0s. In this way they hope to help explain the effect seen by Andrew Schick, where the elasticity for Bethe-Heitler events comes out 4 to 5% lower than unity in the data. Lubomir applies an energy correction for electrons from 6 to 11 GeV in the J/ψ analysis, likely to compensate for the same effect.

FDC Efficiency

Lubomir showed some slides (the first three) demonstrating that there is not a lot of dependence on threshold in the shape of the hit efficiency as a function of DOCA. The overall level of efficiency does vary, but it may be adequate to use a representative shape for the efficiency and scale it based on comparison with data for use in simulation.

Charged Hadrons and the BCAL

Tegan obtained a significant, if not overwhelming, yield on his simulation of a million events each for G3 and G4 on the JLab farm using using software from analysis launch version 38. He flashed several of the resulting plots from those posted on the DocDB. He will contact Richard Jones to transmit the results and plan the next steps.
