Agenda

  • SICCAS crystals
  • Module fabrication
  • COMCAL tests, TAC running, etc.
  • Data analysis
  1. Update on search for S
  • Simulations

Minutes

Attendees: Igal,Jane,Zisis,Sasha,Jared,Jon,Arshak,Bill B.,Phil,Liping,Olga,Susan,Igor,S.T.

  • No update on SICCAS crystals, will give a week time for response, then Sasha will email to set up follow-up meeting
    • Still expecting ~700 crystals, delivery deadline for 2nd batch has passed
  • Sasha met with Crytur representative, gave overview of FCAL-II project
    • Crytur confirmed can provide crystals -- it seems that they have orders from other groups but they are not fully loaded
    • Order (soon?) as schedule mitigation strategy? (Caveat: the Crytur crystals are more expensive...)
  • PMT dividers sent to U. Regina, need to set up similar arrangement with GW
    • Plan to send layout of existing divider to Zisis
    • Idea is to check linearity and pulse shape
  • Fernando has made some progress on divider redesign
  • Sasha has constructed 2 more crystal modules, putting together construction procedure
  • Igal gave update on dark scalar search effort
    • Estimated sensitivity for S→2γ using backgrounds from SM η decays and 2π0
    • Estimated upper limit for coupling constant g_u~7x10^-5 for 5x10^7 η events
    • Can also look at S→e+e-
