## BCAL π0 gains for PrimEx runs: Stjepan and Karthik looked at PrimEx runs with He target that had solenoid on, as well as CDC and FDC on.  The most recent 2020 (summer) gain constants were use as a staring point, in Iteration 0.  After 11 iterations, the mass and width stabilized and are close to our nominal values (mass is on the PDG value).  The standard fitting (two Gaussians with the same mean and a polynomial for background were used). Igal asked to looks at the constants as a function of module.  Karthik responded that he has those tools, and had looked at this for previous run periods.  Next steps: look at runs with solenoid off?  A discussion ensued on the need to do this and requirements on skims.  Bottom line is that most likely the gain constants from the solenoid on/chambers on will more than suffice for the remaining runs with Be and solenoid off.  Mark made the point that the gain constants have bee stable for years.  BCAL is only used as veto for the PrimEx analysis, but there is interest in looking at the η → 3π channel.

## Timing calibration:  Mark looked at the timing calibration run-by-run for the PrimEx and SRC runs.  A single verbal global offset for the BCAL is extracted to line it up in time with the RF.  We are ready for the next monitoring launch.  Channel timing needs full tracing calibration before Mark can continue.  Sean mentioned that Simon is in charge of this.

Minutes

Attendees: Mark, Matt, Varun, Igal, Tolga, Susan, Stjepan, Karthik, Sasha, Sean, Malte, Zisis

  1. Announcements
    1. This was the first meeting with ZoomGov. We will adjust the meeting preferences to be hostless or with multiple host.
    2. The telephone contact numbers above are not used, and they will be removed, starting with the next meeting.
    3. Matt mentioned that a Doodle poll will be sent out to gauge potential in-person participation at the GlueX Collaboration meeting potentially at FSU.
  2. Past Meeting Minutes: Zisis summarized the Dec 8, 2021 minutes.
  3. Run Operations
    1. FCAL: Mark reported that FCAL did well during the fall running, as bases were swapped out at the first sign of an issue.
    2. BCAL: The LV system tripped off for a few runs. This issue should be resolved after Nick replace the offending LV module.
    3. CCAL: no report.
  4. Calibration
    1. BCAL π0 gains for PrimEx runs: Stjepan and Karthik looked at PrimEx runs with He target that had solenoid on, as well as CDC and FDC on. BCAL is only used as veto for the PrimEx analysis but there is interest in looking at the η → 3π channel.
    2. Timing calibration: Mark looked at the timing calibration run-by-run for the PrimEx and SRC runs. A single verbal global offset for the BCAL is extracted to line it up in time with the RF. We are ready for the next monitoring launch. Channel timing needs full tracing calibration before Mark can continue. Sean mentioned that Simon is in charge of this.
  5. Monitoring
    1. BCAL LED Status of monitoring: Varun looked at SRC runs. Both UP/DN LEDs were pulsing without interruptions (yippie). Only one SiPM issue, channel 1118 which has been an issue for a while and is normally blanked out in data and MC. For SRC it might be possible to have it unmasked for some runs. The usual LED issues: ~100 DS and 16 US show fluctuations, although they are in sync on each channel. Varun will produce a super ratio of DS/US to see if that line is flat versus channel number.
    2. BCAL (offline): Tolga is writing a technical note on the BCL monitoring and hopes to have a draft in a couple of weeks.
    3. FCAL (offline): Offline checks for PrimEx and SRC running will be looked at by Igal and Susan.
  6. Reconstruction
    1. Photon gun study: Churamani was not online today, so we will pick up this thread in the future.
  7. Simulations: no report.
  8. Action Items: we all go over these at our next meeting.
  9. Any other business: none.
