Skimming REST Data Challenge Data

  • I have created a factory for skimming data into different output REST files. It will be available soon.
  • Below are some statistics on the data challenge data for various potential topologies/skims.
  • Data challenge data-set size: ~6.5 billion events, 50k events per file: ~130k files, ~100 MB per file: 13 TB total.

2+ 1-

  • Note: For a charged particle to be valid, it must have 45.0 < Vertex-Z < 85.0.
  • Note: π0 means: 0.1 < γγ Invariant Mass < 0.17 (Loose Cut).
Skim Type  % of File Size Remaining Projected Total Skim Size
>= 2+, >= 1- 71.68% ~9.3 TB
>= 2+, >= 1-, >= 2n 62.32% ~8.1 TB
>= 2+, >= 1-, >= 1 pi0 58.36% ~7.6 TB
Tracking FOM > 0.1%, >= 2+, >= 1- 56.56% ~7.3 TB
Tracking FOM > 0.1%, >= 2+, >= 1-, >= 2n 47.21% ~6.1 TB
Tracking FOM > 0.1%, >= 2+, >= 1-, >= 1 pi0 45.33% ~5.9 TB

2+ 2-

  • Note: For a charged particle to be valid, it must have 45.0 < Vertex-Z < 85.0.
  • Note: Pi0 means: 0.1 < γγ Invariant Mass < 0.17 (Loose Cut).
Skim Type  % of File Size Remaining Projected Total Skim Size

Tracking FOM > 0.1%, >= 2+, >= 2-, >= 1 pi0 18.70% ~2.4 TB

3+ 2-

  • Note: For a charged particle to be valid, it must have 45.0 < Vertex-Z < 85.0.
  • Note: Pi0 means: 0.1 < γγ Invariant Mass < 0.17 (Loose Cut).
Skim Type  % of File Size Remaining Projected Total Skim Size
