#** Naomi summarized the work on [https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/GlueX_PID_Meeting,_May_4,_2021 dE/dx comparisons between measured and sim data] using the CDC space-charge correction with data from phi, rho and K+Sigma0. The ratio between corrected measured and sim has little dependence on momentum, and dE/dx from amplitude is similar for p, K and pi in all channels studied (integral is more variable). The scaling factors necessary to match the measured corrected data to the sim are now in CCDB (/CDC/dedx_theta/dedx_amp_scale). They are different for 2017 because the gains were calibrated to match an older simulation. The scaled corrected dE/dx is consistent between run periods and shows good agreement between measured and sim, except that the simulated resolution is better.

Richard will introduce it in mcsnear by randomly removing some of the hits, according to the Garfield efficiency as function of DOCA. Above some threshold the shape of the efficiency vs DOCA remains the same, which simplifies the task, as we don't have to vary the threshold when comparing to the data.

In FDC2 and 3 it went gradually down by ~10% for 1.5 years. Interesting jumps of the pressure were noticed in the first cell of FDC1 - one related to the power outage, the other somehow correlated with a very unstable beam during the initial alignment at the beginning of the 2020 run.

      • Lubomir showed results for the Garfield simulation of the FDC cell efficiency depending on the threshold. Richard will introduce it in mcsnear by randomly removing some of the hits, according to the Garfield efficiency as function of DOCA. Above some threshold the shape of the efficiency vs DOCA remains the same, which simplifies the task, as we don't have to vary the threshold when comparing to the data.
      • In an attempt to understand the elevated Oxygen contamination in FDC2, Lubomir looked at the long term behavior of the pressures inside the FDC cells.
