FDC Weekly Meeting

Date: August 30, 2006

Participants: Daniel, Brian

Next Meeting: Wednesday, September 6, 2006 @ 1:30 p.m.

1). Cosmic Ray Chambers:

Simon has checked the cosmic chamber signals now that alcohol
has been added. Things look much better now. Several chambers
are being read out and a crude calibration is in place. More
work will be done when Simon gets back from vacation.

2). Small-Scale Prototype:

Comparison of chamber resolution with stretched cathodes shows no
change from before (i.e. compared to the old wrinkled planes).

3). Mechanical Drawings:

Brian showed his first mechanical drawing. Not much to talk about
as drawing was 0th order. Brian will continue to work on this.

4). FDC Budget:

 - Brian suggested that we discuss the FDC budget for next year at
our next FDC meeting. We can then decide what we want to purchase.
 - DSC will send Brian the R&D budget numbers after the meeting.

5). Circuit Board Design:

DSC reviewed with Brian details from the meeting on 8/28/06
with Chris Cuevas and Elton regarding who will work on the FDC
   circuit board design.

6). Load Calculations:

We agreed that it is time to start to perform the load calculations
for the frames supporting the wires.

Minutes prepared by Daniel. Send any comments or corrections along.
