The cabling from north is brought to one location on the north, and the cabling for the south is brought to a location on the south. #* Yi reported on the work related to the online db.  The non-linear term correction will be included and automatically calculated in the online GUI depending on the temperature setting. The voltage settings for 5 deg C and Vover=1.2 V will be stored in the database and will be used as baseline in the GUI. Elton's equation: Vsupply(T, Vover) = Vsupply(5deg,1.2 V) + (Vover-1.2)/alpha - beta(T)/alpha + gamma(T-25deg), where: alpha = Vop (MPPC) / Vsupply = 0.94, beta(T) = Vsupply (circuit,T) - Vsupply(predicted based on 0.056 mV/degC behavior,T), gamma = -(0.056 V/deg C - true slope)/alpha, Vop is the voltage delivered to the MPPC. The idea is to have a unified db system to handle both online and inventory.

#* Zisis mentioned that the BCAL fiber QA and measurements will continue to be managed at Regina, following a common decision with Elliott to not try include them in JInventory.

  1. Announcements
  2. Action Items
    • This topic needs to be clarified soon if any changes are expected to be implemented in the near term. Elton will send out information in advance of next meeting for discussion.
  3. Monitoring
    • (Zisis) The 12 weeks of strikes at the university of Athens might end soon and our colleagues will be able to rejoin us.
    • (Elton) Monitoring planes have been installed. LED quad boards have been glued onto the sides. Boards have been cabled. The cabling from north is brought to one location on the north, and the cabling for the south is brought to a location on the south. They will connect cables from the south to the north so that all the external connections to the dark room will be out the north end with the other control cables for the bases.
    • (Zisis) Monitoring paper has been accepted by NIM (five hours after submittal of response to referees).
  4. FCAL
    • Power is now on the forward carriage.
    • The dark room sides have been attached. The tapped holes to support the ABS plastic cover (on the upstream end) have been completed, so the cover will be installed soon.
  5. BCAL
    • For locating external scintillators, see photos. If the magnetic field poses a problem for the readout of the trigger/paddle counters we can consider using SiPMs instead of PMTs.
    • Cosmics: TDC time walk correction Media:TDCtimewalk.pdf Initial look into the timing by Shaun. Has identified areas that need further investigation but the road is clear towards time walk corrections. Following those, angled tracks will be used to tighten energy depositions from cosmics.
  6. Reconstruction and Simulation
    • Will had retrieved the cluster energy equation and is working on locating in the code the constants involved in the reconstruction.
    • Plans are underway to have Giovanni go to CMU and work with Will on reconstruction and BDT.
  7. TDR update
    • We are working towards a Feb deadline (next Collab meeting). BCAL and FCAL are in reasonable shape with some updates needed on the BCAL side.
  8. Calibration of Calorimeters
    • Next calibration meeting is tomorrow. Andrei and Zisis will provide starting points for the calibration parameter list.
  9. Any other business
    • Yi reported on the work related to the online db. The non-linear term correction will be included and automatically calculated in the online GUI depending on the temperature setting.
