#** Zisis stated that a writeup of the studies on sampling fraction is being written. There are many plots and it will take some time to digest the information. It is clear that if any changes are made they will have a large impact on the construction, so the schedule is very tight.

#** Reviewing the LED board that Christina brought to the collaboration meeting, it appears that it will be difficult to accommodate the present size board. However, a thinner/narrower board, perhaps 0.5 to 0.75 the current size should be able to fit.

#** Elke reiterated the question as to whether these new LEDs had sufficient long-term stability.
 +
#** Matt suggested that if the LED was mounted such that it could be viewed both by the near and the far-side pmt, then the drifts of LED vs readout could be tracked. Some of these tests could be conducted at UofR.
 +
#** Zisis suggested that more WCs be produced for these tests. More light guides could be useful as mechanical prototypes. However, it was realized that any mechanical assemblies should investigate actual shapes (not just square cross sections).

Items for followup from Sep 29 meeting

  1. Mijahlo will show slides for APS meeting at next meeting.
  2. Each subsystem must complete blanks in the Calibration Specification Table.
  3. Decision on Bcal sampling fraction needed if any changes are to be made to design. NEED A DEADLINE
  4. Resolution studies (Blake)
    • Up-to-date geometry ONGOING.
    • Decreased threshold for FM pmts. ONGOING
    • Position resolution - understand dependence on granularity.
    • Different segmentation for the outer section. - LOWER PRIORITY
  5. Study impact of inactive material at the end of Bcal on acceptance.
  6. Add F100 rad hard glass to simulation. - New graduate student has been assigned this project.
