Several computing nodes are installed in the counting house and will be used for the ODC. The assignments of their roles is:
- gluon44: Simulated EB (Event Builder) node
- Raw data files stored on local disk
- ET system
- fed locally using file2et program
- L3 nodes will attach remotely to read events
- Monitoring server will attach remotely to read events
- gluon45: Monitoring server node
- Reads events from EB node and supplies them to all monitoring nodes
- ET system
- fed using locally run et2et program which pulls events from EB node
- Monitoring nodes will attach remotely to read events
- halldraid1: ER and RAID disk node
- Reads events from local ET system and writes them to files on local RAID disk
- ET system
- fed remotely by L3 nodes
- Locally run et2file program will serve as ER (Event Recorder)
- gluon24: Server node
- Webserver (primarily for serving Ganglia pages)
- gluon20: Monitoring Nodes
