Detector Response
We need to understand the response and functionality of the various PID devices.
- BCAL TOF (Christina/Blake)
- This is an overlap from day one. Preliminary results from Christina with cosmics from beam test indicate a timing resolution around 500 ps. We need to understand if these results are consistent with other test results and present an accurate picture of the expected time resolution.
- Cherenkov backgrounds (Matt/Richard)
- We need to use full detector MC to estimate the background rates in the Cherenkov detector to better understand its efficiency.
- CDC dE/dx (CMU)
- Tests with prototype chambers are needed validate the dE/dx capability of the CDC
