Minutes

Attending: Elton, Alex A, Rory, Ilya, Jose, Beni

  1. Announcements
  2. Action Items
  3. PAC48
  4. Theory Update
    • Calculations by Sergey Gevorkyan
    • Ilya gave an update on Sergey's efforts
    • There is a draft writeup, representing the work to date. These results were available in June, but not in time to include into the PAC submission
    • The calculations are based on the PRIMEX formalism with modifications for two pion production.
    • We are asked to read the draft and provide feedback to Sergey. He is also looking for help with numerical calculations.
    • We promise to provide feedback in the next couple of weeks.
  5. Beam Test
    • Draft Beam Test Report
    • See Section 5 on FCAL trigger. Estimated FCAL trigger at 20 nA and NPP radiator is 13 kHz (no DIRC or Pb shield). The FCAL threshold is about > 0.7 GeV (nominally 0.5 GeV).
    • These rates are quite acceptable and may allow us to run at somewhat higher current.
  6. Other business
  7. Next meeting
    • Due to the collaboration meeting in two weeks, we will not meet again till Nov 6.
