General information

Specific instructions for connecting from JLab's Hall D conference room:

  • Turn polycon on if necessary (do it before turning the computer on)
  • With the polycon, place a call at 199.48.152.152

  • You may have to unmute the microphone: #*4
  • Turn the computer on if needed

Meeting General Agenda

Jan. 22nd 2015 meeting

  1. Report relevant updates from 7:50 and 8:00 daily MCC meetings:
    • Accelerator schedule: No daily/weekly MCC meetings. Expected schedule:
    1. Feb. 13 - Feb. 26: Beam restoration (13 days)
    2. Feb. 27 - March 26: Accelerator development. Physics running conditions are similar to Fall 2014: Accelerator has priority. Possible running for Halls A/B/D.
    3. March 27 - April 2: Commission 5-pass separator.
    4. Apr. 3 - May 4: Physics run (Halls A/B/D).
  2. Report on Work in the Hall:
    • If you have work to do in the Hall, please notify Tom (Hall work coordinator) and if necessary, document it in the electronic logbook.
    • OSL need to be worn everywhere in Hall D.

  2. LH2 Target
    • Installation Tim. Mid. Feb.
    • Controls Target Group. Need to assign a dedicated screen for target control.
    • Verify that we can install a solid target taped on the rohacell chamber in case of LH2 target failure.
  3. Goniometer
    • Build and install a frame at JLab for testing controls/tune procedure - Tim
    • Procure a test diamond (Hovanes will ask Hall B/ Richard thick 300 μm diamond? for initial tests -

    • Develop and test the tuning software (Ken L., Richard J.)
    • Install nominal diamonds (sometimes in April)
  4. Active collimator (remains in its current position in front of 5mm hole and attached to primary collimator)

    • Check alignment with pin for 5mm and 3.4mm holes Tom, Alex. B.
  5. Upstream profiler installed on a remotely controlled insertable holder

    • New VCL Flow Controllers: Vendor claims they are fixed, install by Feb 6
    • Cryo trips: Fixed; chart recorder reading flat-lines at 24V
    • Awkward ground fault fuse check: Requirement eliminated, simplify using high amp fuse by Feb 6
    • Annual system maintenance: Complete, all power connections and control terminations re-torqued.
    • Simplified Ramp- up/ down documentation: signed by Fed 20.
    • Defective He Level control (Cryo Group issue): Replace by February 20.
