I took over as Run Coordinator on Wednesday, March 8 from the previous RC, Sean Dobbs. Data collection during the week began on Thursday 3/9 morning at 8:00am, following an extended down-time related to issues in Hall C. Starting with run 31046, we continued where we had left off running at low intensity (50 nA, JD70-100 diamond radiator). This was followed during the day on Thursday with a series of runs with a thinner amorphous radiator (1e-4 radlen) and 100nA. After that, the plan was to return to regular low-intensity running with the JD70-100 diamond radiator. However, that plan was interrupted by a CHL trip that occurred around 10:30pm on 3/9 and took down the accelerator. Before long it became clear that this failure would mark the end of the Spring 2017 experimental run. | I took over as Run Coordinator on Wednesday, March 8 from the previous RC, Sean Dobbs. Run Coordinator report, March 8-16, 2017. Richard Jones
Collected during this period:
- Total physics runs : 9
- Total physics events: 560M
- Beam type: mostly amorphous, low intensity
