Run Coordination report for the week from 01/25-02/01/2023 (Edmundo Barriga).

This week we focused on production and there were not special task other than two harp scans that showed good beam convergence. The acceptable beam time (ABU) for the week was 79.7h. We lost about 7.2h due to problems on our side (BANU), largely due to usual overheads (changing radiators/diamond orientations and DAQ stop/start).

Some abnormal issues and worth mentioning reports are:

  • Reports:
    • The barometric pressure sensor will be changed. We are currently using Hall B sensor for our alarms.
    • The DIRC LED was fixed. Justin installed an inverter box (01/26/2023)
    • Update of the TAGM mapping is in process
    • Tagger energy calibration was updated in the ccdb
    • We are starting to coordinate with PD/RadCon for the high intensity scan (Task 9 of Run Plan). We sent them an email detailing the study and are waiting for their reply.
    • Hovanes enable an alarm for FCAL base locked up.
    • Trigger rates show good agreement between 2020 and 2023
    • We are still discussing the BCM callibrations that was performed on 01/19/2023. The Shawn Frierson explained that a manual calibration was performed since the hall was taking current less than 450nA. He suggest two options: "go back to how it was done back in ’21 to see what was done differently." Or, "perform it when the request for “high” current (>450nA) is fulfilled." To first order, The BCM calibration could be done during the high intensity scans (since we may go up to 1μA)
  • Issues:
    • We kept discussing and investigating the apparent rotation of 96 degrees in the start counter. After comparing pictures of the old installation to the current, it is not believed that the detector is rotated. During maintenance day we will take pictures of the cabling.
    • TPOL channel 23 went missing, however, it came back. It was recommended not to explore the issue since we would not learn anything by looking at the channel while its online.
    • A TAGH board appears to be bad, so it will be switched by Boris during maintenance day.
    • TAGH HV lost communication, A. Somov rested the crate during an opportunistic access.
